In 37 states, there will be an election for governors. This means that if a man or woman is not pleased with the person that is current, the voter has a chance to make changes. On the other side of the coin, if a voter is pleased with the governor, and thinks that he or she is doing a fantastic job, this is the time. Picking a governor is an important matter. Every governor will be forced to decide between raising fees and taxes and cutting programs, or a little of both. The incoming governors can determine whether a Democrat or Republican will hold power in the state legislatures and the U.S. House.
